Afghan Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 170g butter
  • 85g plain flour
  • 85g self raising flour
  • 113g sugar
  • 56g cornflakes
  • 28g cocoa
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 160C fan forced, 180C for traditional oven
  2. Cream the butter and sugar
  3. Sift flour and cocoa together
  4. Add sifted flour and cocoa to the creamed butter and sugar
  5. Place tablespoons full onto a lined tray
  6. Bake for 10 mins
  7. Leave on tray to cool for 5 mins
  8. Cool on racks
  9. Once cooled, ice with white icing and top with a walnut (or sprinkles for kids)
