Homemade muesli slice

Ingredients

  • 125g butter
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup golden syrup
  • 1/2 cup sultanas
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup dried apricots
  • 1/4 cup dried apple
  • 1/2 cup self raising flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons pepitas
  • 1 tablespoon sesame or chia seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180C
  2. Grease and line a slice tray with baking paper
  3. Combine the butter and syrup in a small saucepan over lower heat constantly stirring until all of the butter has melted and combined
  4. Place all of the other ingredients in a bowl and stir to combine
  5. Add the syrup mixture to the bowl
  6. Pour into the base of the slice tin. I use a glass to get a flat, even surface
  7. Bake for 20-25mins or until golden.
  8. Wrap in grease proof paper and cling wrap to freeze bars individually
  9. Cool completely in the tin before slicing to serve
