Jelly Slice

Ingredients

  • 200g butter (melted)
  • 1 packet Marie Biscuits
  • 1 tin condensed milk
  • 2 lemons (juiced)
  • 3 teaspoons gelatine
  • 1 packet red jelly

Instructions

  1. Crush biscuits
  2. Add melted butter and 3 tablespoons of condensed milk to crushed biscuits and combine
  3. Add biscuit mixture into a container and allow to set in the fridge
  4. Combine the rest of the condensed milk with the lemon juice
  5. Dissolve the gelatine in 1/2 cup of hot water
  6. Combine gelatine mixture with condensed milk and spread over the cooled biscuit base
  7. Place in the fridge to set again
  8. Dissolve the jelly in 1 1/2 cups of fairly hot water and when cool pour over the slice
  9. Allow to set in the fridge
  10. Use a clean ruler as a guide to cut into squares
